And most importantly, we believe in the power of architecture to inspire. We embrace the unexpected and strive to bring lightness and humor to our practice-because we know that there is always more than one solution to a problem. Our work is inclusive, collaborative, and environmentally sustainable. Our office approaches every challenge with flexibility and an open mind. Over two decades, our team has designed libraries, parks, firehouses, athletic facilities, art centers, schools for all ages-and from time to time, we take on a beach house, townhouse, or penthouse. For the New York City's Design Excellence Initiative, we created an award-winning prototype for park facilities that was adopted as the new standard. We worked with the New York City mayor’s office to help rebuild the Rockaways after Hurricane Sandy. Led by Jennifer Sage FAIA, and Peter Coombe AIA, Sage and Coombe Architects has built a portfolio focused on social infrastructure through diverse projects ranging from the multiphase transformation of the Noguchi Museum to the design of the next generation of New York City phone booths. We create architecture that strengthens communities.
